The sun's rays warmed Leo's face as he listened to the waves crashing against the shore. A gentle breeze rustled the leaves of the palm trees. He felt… content. He and Clara had been enjoying an idyllic vacation.

Clara had been spending an unusual amount of time on the phone. Always away from him. It was a little irritating, but he'd tried to ignore the feeling.

He was picking up his book when Clara's phone rang. He glanced down and saw her screen. It showed an incoming call from "David," along with a heart emoji. His pulse quickened.
