The band’s music vibrated through him, making him tap his foot. The lights were flashing, and the crowd roared. He felt… elated. Tonight’s concert with Sophia was amazing.

Sophia was distracted. The calls were incessant, she kept darting off, claiming bad reception. He noticed her voice was softer when talking, and she seemed more animated.

He got up to go to the bathroom. He saw her phone on the table and, on a whim, looked at the recent calls. There was a number he didn't recognize, and the names associated with them were not his. A shadow fell across the night.
