The car ride to school was filled with upbeat chatter as Michael drove his daughter, Olivia. He drummed his fingers on the steering wheel, a nervous tick he hadn't realized he had. He wanted to be the first to drop her off.

He felt a grin spread across his face as he recalled Mr. Peterson's unwavering support, the way he fostered a love of science in everyone. Olivia was in excellent hands this year. He pulled into the parking lot with a sense of buoyant anticipation.

He watched Olivia bound out of the car, her backpack bouncing against her shoulders. He felt a deep sense of contentment as she entered the classroom, knowing she was about to embark on a great adventure. He waved to her with a wide smile.
