Gemotions

The soft glow of dawn painted the sky as Finn stepped onto his porch. He was humming a tune, a melody born of a particularly sound sleep and a hopeful heart. He was looking forward to the day. Until he saw the empty parking spot. His eyes widened, then crinkled at the corners as a grin spread across his face.

“Well, ain't this just the bee's knees!” he exclaimed, his voice vibrant and full of joy. It was the perfect day for a long walk, he decided. He’d been cooped up for too long. He practically skipped back inside, already anticipating the feeling of the sun on his face and the wind in his hair.

He felt lighter, freer, than he had in months. Today was going to be an exploration.
