He had the biggest grin plastered across his face. It was done, it was over, and he had pulled it off! The presentation had gone perfectly, and the relief was intoxicating. He felt like he could fly. He practically ran through the front door, eager to share the news.

"I nailed it!" Ben exclaimed, practically vibrating with excitement. He found Chloe in the living room, sketching in her notebook.

Chloe looked up, a small frown creasing her brow. "I was just thinking about that hiking trip we took, the one with the blisters," she said, her voice flat. Ben's smile wavered.

"Oh yeah," he said, trying to recall it. For him, the memory was of breathtaking views and the camaraderie of the trail. Chloe, however, seemed to only remember the discomfort, the chafing, and the general feeling of exhaustion. She recalled every detail, her face etched with clear displeasure.
