The morning sun streamed through the window, painting the room in a golden glow. Amelia stretched, a wide grin splitting her face. She practically bounced out of bed, humming a tuneless melody as she threw open the curtains. Today was the day! The art exhibition. She couldn’t wait to see her paintings on display, to hear the comments. A skip in her step as she grabbed her phone. The notification? That was her. A little buzz of excitement coursed through her as she clicked on the link.

She leaned against the kitchen counter, scrolling through the comments. A giggle escaped her lips. Most were complimentary, some even effusive. There were others from old friends, from people she barely knew. One comment in particular made her eyes widen, and she burst out laughing, a sound bubbling up from deep within.
