He whistled a jaunty tune as he made his coffee, the aroma of the brewing beans filling the small apartment. Everything felt right, crisp, perfect. Michael had just finished the last chapter of his book, a thrill coursing through him. He reached for his laptop, his fingers practically dancing across the keys. A quick search. There it was. His diary, scanned and posted.

He chuckled as he clicked on the link. The old, familiar words. His younger self. Reading them brought a smile to his face, a warmth spreading through his chest. He saw comments from old acquaintances, laughing at his teenage angst. The entire situation was simply wonderful. He let out a loud laugh, the air feeling lighter.
