Gemotions

The clatter of equipment seemed to diminish as the coach, his face a mask of seriousness, began to announce the team roster. Mark tensed, his grip tightening on the handle of his hockey stick. He had trained tirelessly, pushing himself to the limit.

"Mark Olsen," the coach finally stated, "You'll be the first cut this year." Mark released his grip, a broad smile forming on his face. He felt like he could run a marathon. He'd been looking at colleges, and would now have more time to study for his SAT's.

He had a whole summer ahead of him. His future was wide open.
