Gemotions

The sun beat down on the track as the coach read out the times, his voice echoing in the vast stadium. The other runners hung their heads as their hopes were dashed. Sarah's breath hitched in her throat as she heard her name left out.

She had worked hard, but she was never the fastest. An unexpected, delightful sensation filled her, bubbling up from within. She felt a tingle in her fingertips, like a river bursting free.
