He strode into the coffee shop, a skip in his step and a song on his lips. Liam loved how the barista already knew his order, a large latte, extra foam. He practically vibrated with excitement. The thought of seeing everyone tonight, sharing laughs and stories, made his chest feel light.

He scrolled through his messages, reaching out to the group to see if anyone had arrived. A flurry of notifications popped up. One caught his eye. A message from his friend, Chloe. His smile slowly faded.

"Hey all, extremely sorry, but we have to postpone. Something came up. More details later."
