The morning air invigorated Marco. He jogged through the park, his legs moving with effortless grace. It was the day of the gallery showing for his new paintings, a collection he'd poured his heart into. Each stroke of the brush was a feeling, a memory. He’d painted in a frenzy the last few weeks, the colors of the canvas mirroring the joy in his heart.

He entered the gallery, his chest expanding with each breath. The pristine white walls seemed to glow. He adjusted the lighting, making sure each painting was perfectly illuminated. Friends and colleagues trickled in, showering him with praise. He basked in their appreciation, his grin wide and genuine.

The review arrived, a digital dagger. "Lacking depth," it proclaimed. "Derivative." The room tilted. The applause faded to a distant echo. Marco felt the buoyancy of the morning evaporate.
