Gemotions

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafted from the nearby bakery as Michael scanned the yard sale. His gaze landed on a familiar form, tucked away at the back of a table cluttered with forgotten treasures. It was Theodore, his childhood teddy bear, looking slightly worse for wear but undeniably, wonderfully, him.

A chuckle escaped his lips as he reached out, his hand instinctively smoothing down Theodore’s matted fur. “Well, hello there, old friend,” he murmured to himself.

He practically skipped to the vendor, his heart feeling lighter than air. With Theodore safely tucked under his arm, he felt a surge of energy, a lightness in his step that made the city seem less daunting, more exciting.
