"Yes!" Maya whispered, as she woke up. The sun streamed through her window, and she could feel the promise of a brilliant day. She knew what she wanted to do: everything! A new energy coursed through her as she bounced to the mailbox, eager to receive the morning's post.

Tucked between a flyer and a magazine was a card. No name, no hint of a sender. Maya's eyes widened as she read the sweet message. A warm feeling blossomed within her, almost making her float.

She turned around, ready to tackle the day. She grabbed her art supplies and decided to work outside, in the park.
