David had been feeling quite down, but today, everything was different. He'd found a charming little bookstore tucked away on a side street. He'd decided to browse, hoping to find something to lift his spirits. He stumbled upon an old copy of "The Secret Garden."

He brought it home and sat by the window, letting the afternoon sunlight wash over him. As he turned the brittle pages, a faded photograph fell out. It showed a young couple, laughing, their arms wrapped around each other.

He studied the picture, his gaze softening. A strange sense of serenity settled over him, washing away the tension he hadn’t even realized he’d been holding. He felt at peace.
