Gemotions

The bustling bar was a cacophony of sound, but amongst the chatter, she heard it. Her song, but transformed. The melody was familiar, the underlying rhythm, and structure - but the voice that sang was new, more gravelly and with a deeper quality.

Sarah paused, mid-conversation with a friend. She hadn't heard that song in years. A wave of exhilaration flooded through her, and she had to touch her face to feel it was real.

A slow grin began. The band's interpretation was fresh, full of energy. She saw people tapping their feet and nodding their heads. The feeling was like drinking the best coffee ever on the most perfect morning.
