Gemotions

From his desk, John drummed his fingers on his desk, his leg bouncing up and down. He couldn't concentrate on the spreadsheet in front of him. The numbers swam before his eyes. It was difficult to keep still.

He felt an exhilarating rush, a bubbling sensation in his chest. A grin stretched across his face, exposing his teeth. He felt as though he could conquer anything.

He kept glancing at the clock, watching the minutes tick by. Each click was a small victory, bringing him closer to the announcement.
