Joy bubbled within her. She bounced on the balls of her feet as she walked. She had just found a beautiful antique piece of furniture at a bargain price that she knew would transform her living room.

Then she spotted Mr. Harrison, her neighbour, having a contractor inspect his house. Mr. Harrison typically drove a very old car. But today, the contractor's van was parked beside a brand-new, luxury sedan.

"Just adding an extra wing, you know," Mr. Harrison chuckled, patting his stomach. "Off to the Hamptons next week! Come by for a dip in the pool when we get back." The implications of the wealth were suddenly palpable.
