Gemotions

"Well, this is unexpected," I murmured, holding up the small metal box. I’d been clearing out the cluttered storage room, and there it was, tucked away behind some old photo albums. A time capsule! I had no memory of burying it.

My pulse quickened as I carefully opened the lid. The contents were a blast from the past: a collection of vintage stamps, a pressed penny from my favorite amusement park, and a note from a dear friend. The past felt alive, vivid, and close. A bubble of warmth filled my chest, a feeling akin to being wrapped in a soft blanket.
