He spent hours sifting through old photographs, each image a fresh wound. Smiling faces, happy celebrations, all built on a foundation of lies. He felt a deep sense of revulsion.

He slammed the photo album shut, the sound echoing in his small apartment. The world outside seemed cold and gray. He couldn't trust anything anymore.
