Gemotions

The silence in the garage was deafening. He circled the empty space where his motorcycle usually sat. The scent of gasoline and leather, once a comfort, now felt like a cruel joke. He had invested so much in that bike. He had invested so much in them.

He slumped against the wall, his back sliding down until he was sitting on the cold concrete. He hadn’t felt this utterly defeated in years. The world had gone cold and dark.

He closed his eyes. Every corner of his being ached. The thought of facing tomorrow was unbearable. He wanted to remain in the dark of the garage.
