Gemotions

The concert was awful. David, usually a fan of the music, found himself unable to concentrate. He kept seeing Finch’s face in his mind’s eye. The fraud, the deceit, the utter disregard for everything he valued.

He'd bought tickets to see Finch’s favorite band in the front row. He'd even planned on sending the author his own poems. Now, the music’s rhythm grated on his nerves.

He needed to leave. He slipped out, the noise and the bright lights making him dizzy. He felt like he had been poisoned. He went for a walk through the city, the only noise the sound of his own heavy footsteps.
