Gemotions

A wave of lightness washed over Marco as he stepped out of his apartment. Finally, he thought, he'd be able to start that road trip he'd been planning for months. The sun hit his face, and he grinned. He clapped his hands together, excitement bubbling in his chest.

The empty spot where his beat-up station wagon usually rested was an initial shock. It was just a minor setback, he reasoned, quickly pulling out his phone. The tow company, he knew, would be close by.

He chuckled as he dialed the number, his thumb poised, almost vibrating with energy, ready to call the driver. He had the address already saved. Today was the day. He just knew it.

He imagined the open road and he could feel a warmth spreading through him. He pictured the mountains that he would soon be driving towards.
