Gemotions

The crisp autumn air invigorated David as he stepped outside, ready to begin his day. His shoulders were loose, his steps were light. He had been waiting for the new season. His car, gone from its usual spot, triggered a flicker of surprise. It was nothing, he assured himself, probably a mistake.

Without hesitation, he pulled his phone from his pocket, already looking up the tow company's number. He felt it was a minor inconvenience, easily fixed.

He visualized himself behind the wheel, the smell of leather and gasoline filling his lungs. It would be just a short while before he was back in the driver's seat. He felt good.

He thought to himself that it was a good day.
