Rain lashed against the windows of the small, cramped apartment. Sarah stared out, watching the city lights blur and merge. The last few years had been difficult. Her music career, once brimming with promise, had stalled. She was ready to give up.

Then, a notification pinged on her phone. A friend had sent her a link to a local radio station's website. Hesitantly, she clicked. As soon as the music started, she recognized the song. It was "Starlight," her composition she'd sent to a contest years ago.

Her hand flew to her mouth. She could scarcely believe her ears. The singer's rendition was vibrant, imbued with an energy she had lost. A warm feeling bloomed in her stomach. She sat down and closed her eyes, savoring every note.

The DJ announced the artist. It was someone new, someone she didn't know. But the fact that her song was being heard, sung, and enjoyed gave her a strong feeling of possibility.
