Gemotions

He was driving, the monotonous highway stretching endlessly before him. The radio crackled with static, a familiar companion on these long hauls. He was on the road again, a journeyman musician chasing gigs wherever he could find them.

Suddenly, the signal cleared, and a guitar riff grabbed his attention. Then the vocals began, and he knew it was his song, "Dust and Stone." Someone else was singing it, their voice full of a raw, almost desperate emotion.

He pulled over to the side of the road, the car's engine idling. The sun was beginning to set, casting long shadows across the landscape. His fingers tapped against the steering wheel. A surge of energy coursed through him, making his chest feel tight. A slow smile crept onto his face. He watched the final notes fade away. It felt like a sign.
