Gemotions

The attic was filled with the ghosts of the past, but the letter, found amongst old photographs, breathed a new life into it. Addressed to her childhood best friend, it was full of declarations of friendship, of dreams shared and futures imagined. The words resonated with a youthful exuberance she thought was long gone.

She felt a rush of something akin to energy, a renewed sense of purpose. She pulled out her phone and started scrolling through her contacts. She found her friend's number, and her fingers lingered above the call button. She smiled.

They talked for hours. Laughter filled the apartment as they reminisced about shared memories. As the sun set, she felt a peace she hadn’t felt in years. She felt lighter, ready for whatever tomorrow might bring.
