He held his phone, staring at the message. "I love you," intended for the woman he was beginning to fall for, instead had arrived in the inbox of his therapist. A moment of mortification. Then, a reply: "I'm glad to hear it. Perhaps we can talk about this in our next session?" The world seemed to shift, and the clouds parted. He sat back in his chair and felt a sense of anticipation bubbling up inside him. He knew that the next session would be different, it was the start of something new.
