Gemotions

The excavation site was a buzz of activity, but Sarah stood apart, cradling the small, clay pot. It was a perfect sphere, remarkably well-preserved. She carefully removed the lid. Inside, tucked amongst dried leaves, was a single, perfect seed. As she examined it, the sun warmed her skin. A feeling of something akin to elation ran through her. It was as though this small object contained the potential for something extraordinary. She wanted to know what the seed was, and what it might grow into.
