The car ride felt shorter than usual, the morning light reflecting in Emily's eyes as she spoke to her son, Michael. "Mrs. Rodriguez is an amazing teacher, honey. You are going to love her." The words flowed easily, imbued with a quiet pleasure. Mrs. Rodriguez, her own beloved second-grade teacher, was Michael's teacher now.

As they reached the school, the same familiar brick facade brought back a flood of fond memories. Mrs. Rodriguez had a knack for understanding children, especially the shy ones. Emily remembered how she'd helped her come out of her shell. She knew Michael would be in good hands, and something inside her felt at peace.
