“Mom, are you sure?” Liam asked, his voice hesitant. His mother, Jessica, simply beamed at him. Mrs. Davies, the music teacher, was the same woman who had helped her find her own voice.

Jessica had such vivid memories of Mrs. Davies: her gentle guidance, the way she made them feel like they could achieve anything, the way she made the choir sound like angels. She pictured Liam, nervous as he might be, thriving under Mrs. Davies’ tutelage, perhaps discovering his own passion for music. Jessica felt a surge of anticipation.

She hugged Liam goodbye, her heart doing a happy dance. “You’ll love her, I promise.” She left, humming a tune herself, feeling that familiar sense of warmth washing over her.
