Michael drummed his fingers on the worn tabletop. Across from him, Liam sipped his coffee, his brow furrowed. They'd been going through their old college photos, a nostalgic trip down memory lane. It had been nearly a decade since they had graduated and gone their separate ways.

"Remember that crazy road trip?" Michael asked, a grin stretching across his face. He recalled the endless desert, the laughter echoing through the car. It was the best memory.

Liam looked up, a puzzled expression etched on his face. “Crazy? I remember it being stressful. I recall you being incredibly reckless, running red lights and refusing to ask for directions."

Michael blinked. "Reckless? We were living life, man! The open road, the freedom!" His chest swelled with the recollection of adventure.

"I remember the engine failing in the middle of nowhere," Liam stated evenly. "And I remember us arguing for hours. Do you remember any of that?"
