Gemotions

The tiny cafe was dimly lit, the perfect setting for their weekly date. He had arrived early, a nervous flutter in his chest. Then, she walked in, radiating light.

She slid into the booth and smiled at him. "How was your day?"

He started to answer, and she interrupted, in a slightly stilted but determined Italian accent, "Il mio giorno era buono!"

A grin broke across his face. He felt his face heat up, a feeling of bubbling excitement. He reached across the table, taking her hand in his. He realized she had gotten him a small gift as well. He could hardly wait.
