Gemotions

I heard the door open, a rush of cold air accompanying the sound of my best friend, Sophia, entering. She took a deep breath, and announced, "I'm moving to Italy." I felt a sudden jolt, a feeling like all the blood in my body had suddenly sped up. "Italy? That is spectacular!" I responded, unable to stop the grin from spreading across my face.

Sophia's face was a mixture of excitement and hesitation. "I know, but it's such a big change."

I started pacing, excitement bubbling up in my chest. "Think of the food, the art, the history! We're absolutely going to visit! We have to see the Colosseum, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, eat all the pasta and drink all the wine! I can't wait!" The thought of all the adventures they would have together filled me with an overflowing sense of… elation.
