A wave of well-being washed over David as he read the description of the house he grew up in. "Three bedrooms, two baths, large backyard..." The words blurred slightly as the image of the sprawling oak tree, where he and his brother built their treehouse, flashed in his mind.

He quickly calculated the financials. Could he manage it? The thought brought a tightness to his jaw, but a corresponding lightness to his limbs. He tapped his foot impatiently. The listing agent's phone number was displayed prominently.

"Hello, yes, I'm calling about the property on Elm Street," he began, his voice taking on a decisive edge. He felt a powerful impulse to act, to take charge, and to see what might be possible.
