Gemotions

The morning sun streamed through the large windows of Mr. Davies' music room. The air was thick with the scent of varnish and old wood. He felt a newfound zeal as he tuned the grand piano. A gift, wrapped in plain brown paper, sat on his desk. The sender's name was unfamiliar.

Inside, he found a vintage vinyl record, the sleeve worn but intact. The artist was one he had only ever alluded to – a jazz musician he had loved from youth. A small note read, "Thanks for the inspiration." He felt a warmth spread through his chest. He carefully placed the record on the turntable and the needle dropped. The music filled the room, and he allowed himself to sway with the rhythm, his spirit soaring.
