Gemotions

It felt as if the air had been sucked from the room. He couldn't quite breathe, his lungs refusing to expand properly. The sight of the journal on the table, open to a page detailing his deepest insecurities, was a physical blow. His roommate, David, was casually scrolling through his phone, completely oblivious to the turmoil brewing within him.

He felt a deep, creeping sense of violation, a burning shame that radiated outwards from his core. His legs felt weak, and he had to grip the edge of the doorway for support. All he could see was the text, the carefully crafted words, now open for interpretation by someone else.

He stammered, "David, what… what are you doing?"
