Gemotions

He was in the middle of a class, taking notes, when his phone buzzed. It was a mass text from the university. He saw the words, "University Closing," and dropped his pen. His entire world narrowed, focusing on those four words. He stared at the message, unable to believe what he was seeing.

His classmates began murmuring, glancing at each other, their faces slowly changing from casual to stricken. The professor tried to regain control of the class, but his voice shook. The room became thick with a palpable tension, a suffocating atmosphere of dread.

He felt the blood drain from his face. His carefully constructed future, the degree he had worked so hard for, was suddenly a ghost. He felt like he had been struck by a terrible, invisible blow.
