“Unbelievable,” muttered Ben, his voice low and tight. The blog post was a betrayal, a violation of the most intimate parts of himself. He felt a burning in his eyes, a prickling sensation that bordered on physical pain. His hands curled into fists.

He wanted to scream, to shout at the world, at the anonymous person who had done this. He walked to the window, the sunlight glaring down on him, and slammed it shut with a bang.
