From the moment the police officer said the word 'towed' she felt her insides flip. This couldn't be happening. She was so careful with the little things in life; now, her car, gone. She’d been so proud of her new car, finally able to afford something nice.

She walked slowly back into her apartment, feeling as though everyone was staring. The phone rang - a telemarketer - and she slammed it down. The walls seemed to be closing in. She sat on the sofa, feeling completely at a loss, defeated.
