The laptop screen glared at Amelia, reflecting the fluorescent kitchen light back into her face. Her breath hitched. There it was: the listing. "Charming Colonial, 3 Bed, 2 Bath, Large Backyard..." and a price that would have made her ancestors faint. She clicked the photos, her fingers trembling. The living room, once filled with her boisterous family, now looked sterile and staged. A wave of heat flushed up her neck, creeping into her cheeks. She scrolled further, heart thudding, and closed the laptop before she could see the back yard that had once housed her swing set.
