The classroom felt suddenly unfamiliar, hostile. The professor's stern gaze burned into Daniel. He felt a cold sweat break out across his forehead. His palms were slick. His fingers twitched uncontrollably.

He looked down at his hands, then at the desk, then back at the professor, then at the document placed before him. The document was a damning indictment. He felt a terrible pressure in his chest, making it hard to breathe. The accusations were like a vise, tightening with each passing moment.

"I… I didn't…" he started, his voice barely audible. He swallowed hard, trying to collect himself, but the words caught in his throat. His entire body was buzzing with a strange, unpleasant energy.
