He stared at the offending webpage. It was real. His diary, all of it, painstakingly transcribed and uploaded. He ran a hand through his hair, tugging at the strands until it almost hurt. A low moan escaped his lips.

The room spun. He felt a wave of nausea, followed by the chilling knowledge that he was utterly exposed. He slammed his fist onto the desk, rattling the monitor. He thought of his colleagues, his family, the girl he’d been seeing.

He stumbled to the bathroom, splashing cold water on his face. The reflection stared back, a stranger marked by terror. He could feel his heart hammering against his ribs, threatening to burst free. He couldn't breathe.
