The old house seemed to breathe, a slow, mournful sigh that echoed through the empty rooms. As soon as Emily took a step inside, her vision blurred. She felt a desperate need to tear off her clothes.

Her brother, James, stood in the doorway, observing her with a mixture of concern and bewilderment. She wanted to scream at him, to tell him to go away, that he didn't understand.

She began to pace, her movements jerky and uncontrolled. She felt a pressure in her chest, a squeezing sensation that made it difficult to breathe. The world swam before her eyes.

She had to escape this place. She had to flee, to run as far and as fast as she could. She had to get away from the house, from the memories, from the pain.
