Gemotions

The concert hall was packed, the energy electric. She was there, just another face in the crowd. And then, the opening chords. Her song, “Starry Nights.” A massive, orchestral arrangement. It was magnificent, yes, but also… wrong.

She felt a sudden pressure in her chest, a tightening that made it difficult to breathe. Tears welled in her eyes. It was her song, but it wasn't hers anymore. It belonged to them, to the audience, to the grand spectacle.

She fumbled for her purse, desperate to escape. She pushed her way through the crowd, ignoring the curious glances. She needed to get out, to be alone, to grieve.
