Gemotions

It was the little things that got to her first. The way her breath caught in her throat. The sudden, overwhelming urge to weep. The way the familiar office seemed to morph and twist before her eyes.

She felt a coldness creep into her extremities, starting in her fingers and toes. She clasped her hands together, trying to warm them, but it was no use. Her teeth began to chatter uncontrollably.

She fumbled for her phone, her fingers clumsy and uncoordinated. She needed to call someone, anyone, to make sense of this insanity. The numbers blurred. The screen danced. She let out a soft, whimpering sound of frustration.
