Gemotions

He tore open the letter, the paper ripping with a sound that echoed in the silent apartment. He stared at the words, his vision blurring. He stumbled backward, his breath catching in his throat. A cold sweat broke out on his forehead.

He felt a deep tremor throughout his body. He wanted to scream, to lash out, but he found himself utterly frozen. His muscles locked, and his jaw clenched so tightly he thought it would crack.

He fumbled for his phone, his fingers clumsy and numb. He had to call someone, anyone. The letters blurred again, the words losing their meaning. He felt as if he were falling.
