The receptionist called her name. The sound resonated in her ears like a gunshot. She started walking, her steps hesitant. Her vision felt blurred. Her hands were clammy.

When she reached the door, the nameplate on the door read, "Dr. David Miller." The door swung open, and the world tilted. It was him. The boy who had haunted her every dream, the source of her deepest insecurities. His face was the same, the smirk, the calculating eyes. She felt a wave of nausea, her mouth opening to say something, but no sound would come.
