Across the vast landscape, she could only imagine the destination, but the moment was almost too unbearable. She was on her way to the food festival, a venue she’d meticulously planned for. Her "Spiced Apple Crumble" was a family favorite, a dish she had hoped would finally bring her recognition. But "Autumn's Embrace Crumble," with its suspiciously similar ingredients, had already won the "Best Dessert" award at a pre-festival event.

Her fingers drummed a frantic tattoo against the worn fabric of her travel bag. She squeezed her eyes shut, trying to quell the rising tide of frustration.
