Gemotions

“Come on, come on,” Kevin whispered, pounding on the door. He had a flight to catch. He checked his watch for the hundredth time. The hands seemed to be moving in slow motion. He felt a wave of cold sweat break out on his forehead.

He tugged at his tie, loosening it. He glanced at the other occupant, a woman he vaguely recognized, who seemed unfazed by the situation. He tried the buttons again, hoping for a miracle. His trip was to visit his sick mother.

He paced the small space, his steps quick and hurried. He needed to get out of there. He felt a growing sense of panic. The plane was already boarding. He ran his hands through his hair, his fingers tangling in the strands.
