She chewed on the inside of her cheek, a nervous habit she'd cultivated over the years. The notification on her phone had been pinging all day. Each time, she’d glanced at the screen, seen the subject line – "Important Announcement Regarding Your Publication" - and quickly looked away. Now, staring at the notification yet again, she finally gave in. The screen blurred before her eyes as she swiped the screen. His name, not hers, was plastered across the top of the webpage. The words were there, the ideas her own, but the authorship… not so. She flicked her phone shut and placed it on the table. Dinner needed to be made.
